The Shouson Hill residential compound includes six buildings grouped in sets of two with interconnecting roof terraces. Each building houses four apartments.
This project included the review of the proposed renovation design, evaluation of alterative solutions and the selection of solutions based on their merit for further consideration.
The selected solutions were expanded and developed into a value engineered alternative. This process considered the impact to performance, first cost and construction duration relative to the design under review.
A presentation of the selected alternatives was made which included, where appropriate, an assessment of improved performance, initial cost / life-cycle cost comparisons and a schedule analysis.
